Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Ingredients

1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup softened butter
8 ounces pkg. softened cream cheese (reserve 2 oz. for fros
1 egg
1/4 cup cocoa
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
2 tablespoons milk
2 ounces cream cheese

Preparation

In small bowl combine peanut butter and powdered sugar. Blend until smooth. Chill while mixing cookie dough.

Heat oven to 350 degrees and grease cookie sheets.

In large bowl combine brown sugar, sugar, butter, and 6 ounces cream cheese until light and fluffy. Blend in vanilla and egg. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup level. Blend flour, cocoa and baking powder into creamed mixture. Shape dough into 1 inch balls; place two inches apart on prepared cookie sheets. With thumb make imprint in center of each cookie. Fill with teaspoon of peanut butter mixture. Bring dough around filling to completely cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 9-12 minutes. Cool.

In small bowl blend frosting ingredients. Spread over cookies.
