Ice Cream Cookies

Ingredients

1/2 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Shortening
1 Egg
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 cup Sifted Flour
1/2 cup Chopped nuts (optional)

Preparation

Cream together sugar and shortening, add egg and vanilla; mix thoroughly.

Stir in flour, then nuts. Drop by small rounded spoonfuls on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350F degrees for 6 to 8 minutes, or until lightly browned on the bottom. Serve with your favorite ice cream.
