Get Sponsored!
In the past, IFBC has provided a forum so that bloggers and businesses can connect (without our endorsement or involvement in the match-making). We've found that bloggers have better luck when they reach out directly to businesses, so we've ended the forum and are offering our advice on how to best connect and get sponsored!
- *Start by contacting local food companies that you use and respect.
- *Offer to provide something of value to them: guest blog posts, promotion at the conference (you can place their literature in the Gift Suite - a benefit that normally comes with a $500 sponsorship cost!), Tweets on their behalf while attending the conference...be creative, you're pitching to be their representative!
- *In return, ask for help covering travel costs, hotel, and/or registration fee. Be specific about what you are asking for: $500 or $1000 and detail how it will be used
- *Share your request on the IFBC Twitter to help get your request out and use the hashtag #sponsorpartner
- *If you do find a sponsor partner and want to place materials in the Gift Suite, please email the details to IFBC@foodista.com so that we can coordinate with you.
Good Luck!

I have been blogging for the past 5 years. Although back in 2007, my blog, The Charmed Home (www.hollyscharmedlife.blogspot.com), originated as a crafting blog... it has evolved into a cooking theme over the years. The majority of my recipes center around wholesome family meals, and treats ideal for parties. All of the featured recipes are of my own creation, or have been passed down through my family. We are also big believers in growing and raising our own food, and post about our adventures in getting back to a simpler way of life. As a military wife, we travel frequently and I also feature reviews of restaurants and food trucks that we visit along the way. Additionally, I will reference, review and promote products that I enjoy using. My blog has been featured in the magazine, Artful Blogging. Prior to becoming a stay-at-home mom, I worked as an advertising and marketing manager for a large company in Dallas, TX. I also have a degree in commercial photography... a valuable asset for some great food photography! I am active on Twitter (@charmedgirl77), Instagram (@charmedgirl) and Facebook. IFBC would be a wonderful opportunity for me to grow by blog, and make some invaluable networking connections. If you're interested in sponsoring me, you can reach me at charmedgirlnc@gmail.com.

Aloha from Margaritas In The Rain, an islander's taste of living on the "mainland."
My name is Marisa. I currently live in Portland, but I was born and raised in Hawaii. I started Margaritas In The Rain after moving to Oregon and realizing that I needed something to smile about on rainy days. Margaritas happen to be one of those things. And let me tell you, there are a lot of rainy days here.
My blog features restaurant reviews (here in Portland and beyond), recipe spotlights, and more. Feel free to contact me if I can provide any additional information. Thanks for your consideration!

A Cook Not Mad: food travels guided by a chef's stomach and a photographer's eye. Join us on location for real food, authentic people and true stories.
We are Tim (20 years as a chef) and Nathalie (photographer), we travel and search out real food, made and eaten by local people no matter where we are in the world.
We have never attended a food bloggers conference but think it would be beneficial. Our blog is almost a year old and we continue to grow our audience. We are looking for sponsorship to attend the conference in Portland this year.
We would love to partner with an up and coming or established company. Let us know what we can do for you.

Hello hello!
My name is Joanne, but you can call me Jo. I am from San Francisco and I started my food blog "Jo Boston is a Foodie" in April of 2007. In the last 5 years, I have learned so much, met so many amazing people, and most importantly, have been able to taste incredible dishes and drinks which inspires my writing.
I write about anything associated with food because I love it so much. I like to bake, cook, travel, attend food events, compose dining guides, and recap memorable dining excursions - doesn't matter if at lovely white tablecloth-ed establishments or even hole in the walls. If it is good, I'm there! I am very thorough in my recaps through my copy and photographs.
Though I have been blogging for a little while, I feel that there is still so much to learn. Attending this conference will not only expose me to new ways of writing and how to promote my blog, it will teach me how to set goals for my blog and my mission of promoting Filipino food here in the United States. I will also be able to meet bloggers from all over the world and trade tips, recipes, and experiences with each other - this transfer of knowledge is priceless.
I tweet at @joanneisafoodie and blog at www.jobostonisafoodie.com. Hope we can connect and work together! Any assistance from will be greatly appreciated!

I am a fellow food blogger and founder of Mobile Skillet, a boutique cooking app producer. I can't afford to pay expenses. However, I'm looking for someone to represent Mobile Skillet at the conference in exchange for a 10% commission on any apps sold to contacts made. Since our apps start at $5,000, a 10% commission exceeds fees typically paid by major newspapers for food articles. If you are interested, please let me know.

My name is Danny, and I am a 19 year old student at Tufts Uni. in Boston. My blog is written from the unique perspective of a young, male baker, and the majority of my recipes are vegan. I'm always finding ways to incorporate the latest superfood ingredients without sacrificing flavor. I can get airfare to the conference, but I do need a corporate sponsor for registration and hotel fees. As a member of Generation Y, I'm more than proficient in navigating social media, and my background in design informs my perspective of what'll truly grab consumers' attention. An ideal sponsor would be a young company that focuses on baking with whole, preferably vegan ingredients. Thank you for any consideration!
