I collect cookbooks, recipes, many things related to the sea such as shells, lighthouse/beachscape drawings, paintings, etc.

I love to entertain or cook for any rhyme or reason or none what so ever. I rely on some of the basics, some recipes long forgotten and love to try something new.

I began writing a cookbook several years ago and decided (with prodding from my daughter) to turn it into a blog.

Some of my favorite types of food are regional; and having grown up on the Gulf Coast of Florida I was lucky enough to be introduced to many difference cuisines. I love Cuban, Latin & of course Southern cooking... from Shrimp & Grits, to Gumbo, Chicken & Dumplings, Pecan Pie... the list goes on and on.
