Ingredients

1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 (16 oz.) can pork
beans
1 (4 oz.) can drained green chilies
1 (1 ¼ oz.) pkg. taco seasoning mix
1/4 cup water
1 1/4 cups cornmeal
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup milk
1 egg
3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Preparation

Brown ground beef and onions; drain. Stir in beans, chilies, seasoning mix and water. Spread in 8" glass baking dish. Heat oven at 350 degrees. Combine dry ingredients. Add cheese, tossing to coat, add remaining ingredients stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Spread topping evenly over ground beef mixture. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until wooden pick comes out
