Hemp Nutty Burger

Ingredients

2 cups cooked or canned black beans
1 cup cooked short grain brown rice
1/2 cup whole wheat bread crumbs
1/2 cup shelled hempseed
1/4 cup rolled oats
2 tablespoons almond butter
Extra-virgin Olive oil
1 small onion, idced
1/2 teaspoon each dried parsley, save, rosemary and Dash of chili powder

Preparation

Mix black beans, rice bread crumbs, hempseed, oats and almond butter in a large bowl.

Place 2 tsp. olive oil in a skillet. Add the onion and heat over medium heat. When the onion begins to sizzle, add spices, salt, chili powder and saute for 3-5 minutes.

Heat a generous amount of olive oil in a medium heated skillet and fry formed hemp burgers. Fry until golden brown on each side.
